You have reached a small corner of the web devoted to the Codex Gruitcurtensis — an aged manuscript I discovered by chance, and now lovingly studied, page by page, breath by breath.
I found it in the crypt of the ruins of an ancient monastery dedicated to St. Arnulf near Gruitcourt, France, during an outing with my beloved wife, Ale.
The Codex is a manuscript that bears a story and complete musical notations. The latter I have faithfully interpret here. The former is written in an old dialect which I have carefully transcribed for anyone to see. I called a friend that is good with languages and together we have begun to grasp some of its meaning, though much is still missing. If you think you can help with the translation please reach out at the guestbook.
